Spooktacular Halloween!

Image
Halloween was a very busy time in Senior Infants from making potions to play dough monsters and dancing skeletons to building our own haunted houses! We had a special class visitor 'orange teeth' our class pumpkin came to stay with us for a week before heading back to Halloween Town. While we were sad that he had to leave us he made up for it by leaving us all the ingredients we needed to make chocolate apples! Our dress up day was the highlight, our teacher could barely recognize us in our wonderful costumes!

Maths Week!

We were kept very bust for Maths week 2019 (12th - 20th October). We took part in loads of fun maths activities that helped us practice our maths skills! Everybody in the whole school got a chance to take part in 'Guess How Many Sweets in the Jar' which helped us practice our estimation skills. Congratulations to Harry from Rang a 4 who won and was only one off the amount! Harry was presented his prize from senior infants who organised the activity and collected the guesses! On Thursday, Ms Coombes Rang a 4 came to visit our classroom to present their maths eyes projects, this really made us more aware of math that is all around us! We already can't wait until next year!

We are extremely grateful to for all the sponsorship we received and a special thanks to Mr.Coughlan's fifth class for setting up and showing us how to use the different stations! What a day!
